CYTO: PRISM OF SONIC ENERGY

[INTERACTIVE SOUND INSTALLATION]

Cyto (cell) examines the displacement of molecules by sound waves. Within the cytoprism, body movement is tracked and effects modulation in a series of graphic, trigonometric functions. Sine and Lissajous curves underly the Voronoi and metaball algorithms, which represent molecular displacement in air and water, respectively. The goal is to place the user within a 3D lens that magnifies the molecules around them, illuminating the chaotic harmony that engulfs our bodies as we experience sound.
